There is a lot to love about hair. Its an interesting meduim to work with, as everyone’s hair is different. I appreciate the simplicity of my tools: a scissor and comb are sometimes all I need. A solid cut, a fresh color, can be game changers for how you feel, and look at yourself. And thats pretty cool.

I was a social worker for many years, then decided to pursue this craft in the beauty industry. In 2013, I went to Paul Mitchell, in Chicago (my hometown), later worked at Wink in Biltmore, then started my own business out of my living room, which quickly led me to creating my own two chair salon in The River Arts District. I’ve been there since 2015, and I love it.

If you’re looking for a laid back, one on one experience, in a unique space, where your goals will be heard and your hair will be expertly groomed, I’d love to have you in my chair. It’s a journey finding the right stylist, and right clients. I prefer a collaborative approach to my clients hair, and I really love good vibes.

When I’m not at my shop doing your hair, I’m mostly up in Mars Hill, on my land, with my husband and cat, building our house, literally. My interests lie with family, close friends, cooking, bird watching, interior design, history, abnormal psychology, rock and roll, planet Earth, good health and good cheer!
